Budgam, J&K: Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura, PDP candidate from the Charari Sharief Assembly constituency, cast his vote during the second phase of the J&K Assembly elections. He emphasized the positive atmosphere at the polling booth, noting that voters have eagerly awaited this moment for the past ten years, and their enthusiasm is palpable.
At the SDA polling booth in Srinagar’s Bemina, Alice Cheng from the Singapore High Commission noted the similarity in polling arrangements between India and Singapore, with government buildings being used to ensure accessibility. She expressed gratitude to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) for organizing the visit, allowing the delegation to witness the voting process firsthand.
